The best thing for your screen to keep off dust and to remove fingerprints are ostrich feather dusters. You can get miniature ones that are handy to carry in a bag for your tablet. While it takes a bit longer to clean the screen with them they are very gentle on the screen. Microfiber runs the risk of getting debris trapped in the cloth and being rubbed into the screen and scratching it. Heavier soiling like food droppings or something stuck to the screen will still require a damp/wet and soapy cloth to remove. The duster feathers can also be gently washed clean of oils and grease.
I used a miniature ostrich feather duster with my 1st gen iPad from when it first came out until now and it is scratch free and looks like new. I am now using the same duster with my 4th gen iPad.
