We like art, small spaces and the great outdoors. So you can imagine why these amazing painted shacks and trees by artist Samuel Francois made us smile…
Samuel Francois transforms ordinary exterior spaces into colorful visions. He is able to see the joy in the bleak and uninspired urban fabric and inject pops of playful color – such as the bightly painted shacks above and the swatches of color peaking out from a tree trunk (also shown above). Francois uses other methods such as merely leaving a collection of purple and red balloons in a yard, drawing a smiley face in a subway and painting swatches of color on the wall of a viaduct. His website is a must see as there's many more striking installations, photography and drawings worth perusing.
