1) Book Style Remote Control Designed by Chen Hung Ming, this remote was created to help simplify the process of controlling various AV equipment for the elderly at the same time keeping the feel of the control familiar by using the layout of a book.

2) Gesture Remote Control Another idea for the remote of the future, this concept by IDENT Technology AG controls the TV just as the name implies, by using gestures.

3) Philips Dual QWERTY Remote Control Easily one of the most stylish QWERTY remotes that we've seen, the Dual gives the practically of the QWERTY remote in a form factor that does not radically stray from the traditional remote control.

4) Pultius TV remote control Designed by Artemy Lebedev the idea behind this remote is to be able to change the channel without ever using multiple buttons. As you can see from the image, this unique button per channel approach makes for a rather long, 20 inch remote.

5) Cyclops Remote Control This space age looking remote from Genos is a universal remote control with a QWERTY keyboard, and unlike other universal remotes, also has physical buttons as opposed to a touchscreen.

6) SFR Evolution Created by NDS design for the French telecom company SFR, this simple and elegant remote is quite the departure from many that we've seen and we hope it makes its way stateside soon.
