Cool Etsy shop AHeirloom has started making a series of wooden cutting boards in the shapes of American states…
So far in the collection, which sells for $38 a piece, you can find California, Connecticut, Nevada, North Carolina, Vermont, and New Hampshire. In the next week they will be offering Oklahoma, Ohio, Oregon, and Washington, and eventually all fifty.
Plyboo is a plywood made from rapidly renewable bamboo, so it causes less stress to the environment than chopping down slower-growing hardwoods. The cutting boards are CNC routed to create a perfect product. You have the option of a light or an amber plyboo base, and you can request a carved heart to mark whichever city you love.

I'm assuming they'll have the big island be the main board, then have a couple small pieces to represent, Oahu, Maui, etc... mainly as decoration if you're laying it out.

@mojones @ wondrousalice -- They already have Texas. I'm kind of jealous because Texas is a large state and that makes for a nice size cutting board. I can't say the same for NJ.

I recently ordered Wisconsin for my sister... it turned out AWESOME! And for under $40 (including shipping) it was a steal. AHeirloom is great to work with as well... fast turn-around.
