"Death. pirates. angels. warlocks. vampires, and love. My designs are inspired by none of these things. Rather, I aim to simply provide beautiful objects. Does it all really need inspiration, or can design provide for it? Or can an object simply just be . . ."

2 stars for the design, extra star for the quote.
lovely table. nice work.
Not a huge fan of the table (to each her own), but LOVED the quote!!
Unsettling from some angles, beautiful from others. This is a table I'd love to encounter at the ICFF, I have a feeling it can be best judged in person. I'm going to take a risk and give it three stars based on the photos, though. :)
Can I buy this table? It would look AMAZing with my beloved white bertoia chairs in my kitchen...
Goodbye tulip table, soon to be banished to my office....or maybe the loft? LOL
Aside from being ugly, it seems there would be issues with putting chairs around it. Even if something is 'art' a table should still be able to sit people comfortably.
I like that the legs punch through the tabletop. What is that called again? It doesn't entirely appeal to me, but I am sure that some ppl would completely love it, even if others might hate it.
@bsand
I think only 2 of the legs would really pose an obstruction, and even so, depending how big it is (which... no idea...) 6 can definitely fit comfortably.
Go Eric, love this!
go brooklyn!
If I put the turkey on the unsupported end, will it catapult the mashed potatoes and gravy across the kitchen?
I like the legs through top. But the fact that the table would overbalance with a misplaced stack of books is a no go for me... :(
Thank you guys for all the comments, good or bad at least people are talking! This piece is actually a coffee table and is much lower than it appears in person (maxwell next year DIMs please!!), the tipping point never really comes into issue. My mother has been using this sample for over a year now in her living room with no issues! Please email me with any questions, or if you wanna put this piece into production!! Thanks again....-Eric Ornstein
Eric, are the legs truly through tenons or did you do a mock inlay on the top? If they're through, how did you account for the expansion and contraction of the top?
