Go ahead, ask Jamie. Finally, we've confirmed our interview tomorrow with Jamie Drake himself.
Don’t be fooled by the sedate black and white photo… interior designer Jamie Drake is courageous with color (on client walls and in his own shirt and tie combos), audacious with art, and with a talent that ranges from Upper East to downtown, and spans from Madonna to Gracie Mansion. And now he’s coming to the AT interview series. Which is something, since Jamie’s one of the busiest men in design…

This past spring, in addition to maintaining his star-studded client roster, he showed a room at the 35th Annual Kips Bay Designer Showhouse AND accepted the 2007 Alpha Award, presented by The Alpha Workshops...
Jamie Drake has the eye of an artist and the heart of a giver, and no doubt some serious tie storage strategies to inspire your next closet overhaul.
What do ATers want to know from Jamie Drake, Dapper Don of the divan?

It made me giggle that this was a black-and-white photo of him.
Ha, I thought the same thing!
(Another Jamie Drake note: one of his signature technicolor residences is this month's Met Home's cover story. It is, fittingly, their Color issue!)
Memory of Mr.Drake tie and his mention of it in his acceptance speech at BenMoore Color Awards lightens up my days.
He spoke at my college a few years ago in a purple suit. It was fabulous!
