Last year, we posted this great tutorial on how to make a pet bed using an old suitcase. But if you're not feeling the DIY vibe, or you're having a hard time finding a cool vintage suitcase worthy of your fuzzy friend, we found a source for a fantastic array of one-of-a-kind beds made with not only upcycled suitcases, but (our favorite) briefcases, too!
The cuteness!
We love the little touches, such as the fact that many of the beds feature vintage turned legs or casters. Available at the Etsy shop lovenostalgicwhimsy, each uniquely created bed includes a pillow with a removable, machine-washable cover. Prices range from $49 to $75.

A suitcase also works as a bassinet, fyi.
on a related note, old refrigerators make great playpens
I did this with an old picnic basket I found in my garage about a week ago. Plopped a blanket in and propped up the lid. The cat loves it and it's adorable and took oh, I'd say, two minutes. I have an extra one I can send if anyone wants to give me 30 bucks (20 dollar discount for no legs or casters in case you are really put out by not being able to roll your cat's suitcase bed around).
I suspect that those are posed photoshoots. Cats tend to not have a whole lot of respect for where YOU think their bed should be... ~:o)
Awww the cats look so cute. A great idea to turn your suitecase into a cat bed tho. You can also do it yourself in my opinion. Go to your local hardware store, and buy some wheels and you're done! (Fragrances)
You could also buy legs from Ikea and screw them in yourself or experiment with a variety of home made legs if you have the time to make them yourself.
