Because I've been moving around and sometime work from different locations, I realized that if I had something I could transport, I would be more likely to use it. I also wanted someplace to file my receipts (I work freelance so I need to keep better track of my expenses in order to write them off at the end of the year). So when I saw these portable expanding 'green room eco' files at Target in some really fun patterns I was inspired. I bought the green version, but they come in 2 other styles. Plus if I'm really honest, I never really liked the brown of my old brown file container. I love this green, it makes me feel happy when I see it, so I want to keep it updated and organized. A superficial reason, but a reason nonetheless. I got home and started labeling. I started with receipts files and was able to get rid of a couple different piles that looked like this (including the 'pile' that had been building in my purse and wallet):
They only had one green one left, but otherwise I would have bought at least one more for organizing all the pages I rip out of magazines. Here are the other colors they had:
They retail for $11.89 each and have 6 files with stickers for labeling. I use the short term file for bills to pay, receipts, and current projects. This way I can file instead of pile, no matter where I am.
