Outdoor Modern. We think we'll see these on the porch of a Dwell Magazine featured home, soon. The Emmet Lounge & Ottoman is an update of the classic Adirondack but made from 100 percent post-industrial recycled plastic, making it more durable and weather resistant...
Available in black from Room & Board. The chair is $299 and the ottoman is $139.

I don't know if it's the harsh angles or the black color... but it looks very austere. It doesn't scream "sit on me and kick back." If Darth Vader was an outdoor lounge chair, this would be it.

I think it looks pretty appealing, especially with a towel thrown over it. Or maybe a cabana boy. But I wonder if the plastic gets hot in the sunshine.
The design is hot, the price leaves me cold. BTW brittanykate, everthing gets hot in the sunshine, even the cabana boy.
Ha, but even if the chair got vinyl-car-seat-in-the-sun hot, if you had the cabana boy, the palm frond fanning and iced beverages would keep you cool.
Black plastic get hot in the sun? No way!
At least if you order direct from Loll, you can get one in a different color.
