Most of us have a pin cushion floating around the home somewhere, it just goes hand-in-hand with making do and mending what we can. But pin cushions aren't great for all things and other craft supplies still require extra storage, but not any more! Check out this simple DIY idea that hold pins, craft knives and more!

Flickr member Urban Woodswalker has created this simple and resourceful twist on the standard pin cushion. They were looking for something that held more than just pins and created a place to hold additional small and sharp crafting items.

This pin cushion is made from cork and a lid to a glass jar (which can be filled with more crafty items). It's a simple idea that makes a big difference for those who could use a resting place for sharp objects while working on projects around the home.

Thanks Urban Woodswalker!
