San Francisco urban brand Upper Playground have teamed up with ASTRO Gaming to release three Artist Series Speaker Tags for the A40 Audio System – an audio system combining 5.1 Dolby Digital and Dolby Headphone surround sound with a user-configurable microphone boom and headset for gaming or music listening. This new headset system is offered with interchangeable artwork from the likes of Sam Flores, Munk One, and one with the walrus graphic Upper Playground logo, upgrading your swag with some 415 style...
"This project has enabled both brands to fuse progressive art with the best in video gaming equipment," said Brett Lovelady, Founder of ASTRO Gaming. "We think video gamers deserve more expressive, relevant style, in addition to the latest technology in their products. And we know Upper Playground's fans like to play games too. Seems like chocolate and peanut butter all over again."
That's market speak for, "here's a way for us to update our product without really adding anything by a new look to it". But that's not us knocking on the tech behind this sound system which offloads surround decoding and voice communication duties to the A40 system, and the Artist Series is the same price as the other A40 Audio Systems setups, so why not gear up with a little panache that you can change out at your whim?
The Upper Playground Artist Series Speaker Tags are available as part of the Upper Playground Edition A40 Audio Systems and standalone Speaker Tag sets in limited quantities.
