Of course the UES has a .com. When the tech bubble was in high season, someone started a handy little site called UpperEast.com and billed it as the Upper East Side's Megasite. What a great niche! What a great idea!
While not a pretty site (no pun intendend) and with very little advertising, UpperEast.com is still around with a VERY big listing of stores and services that live between 59th and 96th streets (sorry, everyone north of 96th....). It looks extremely useful for those who live up there. Besides art galleries and museums, there are listings for computer repair, synagogues, house cleaning, real estate listings and schools. MGR
