Upstate Chic: A Remodeled 1840s Home

Country Living

After their son was born, Brooklynites Sarah and Todd Norwood realized a longstanding dream and bought a vacation home in upstate New York. They ended up creating their dream home and now live there full time.

The house is welcoming and eclectic, with design-savvy surprises in every room, from the peacock-blue kitchen to the Murano glass chandelier in the studio. Their work as artists — Sarah is a former fashion stylist turned fine artist and Todd is a photographer — clearly informs the artsy, warm space. It's no wonder they ended up living in the home full time, since the time and love they put into it is evident in every room.
