Urban Outfitters Ready to Fall

Back to dorm life or stuck with economic realities, we've been turning to Urban Outfitters website lately for some ideas. The only thing we ever bought for our home from UO was a set of window panels a few years ago (light and gorgeous; we later donated them to my sister's redecorating cause). While we've been trying to think of a way to incorporate the "mod herringbone" tapestry we spotted a few days ago, here are some other new fall items that from UO worth considering. These pieces don't read too collegiate, whether you are or not:

The great thing about that is the fact that he still co-opts liberal culture to sell his clothing . . . apparently the ability to make money trumps ideology!

what dont you understand? the guy that owns the store our generation fawns over has the exact opposite ideals to many of us. therefore, hipsters are funding the GOP. im sure the same can be said of other storefronts. i was just making a point of being a socially aware consumer.

I think the confusing part, at least for me was the, "if you are a Obama supporter". Even if you don't support him, it's an issue. Thanks for the info andrasklang!

I'm pretty sure this discussion has already occurred on AT... does anybody remember where, so we don't have to repeat the entire thing again? There are so many UO mentions on here I'm having trouble finding it.

Oh brother. If we're going to take it this far, are we going to have to explore the political affiliations of the CEO of every store we frequent before making a purchase? Unless they're bludgeoning baby seals to death, I don't want to hear it.

I know they didn't MAKE the game, but the fact that they would sell it in the interest of 'hipness' totally turned me off. Sure, college students have pimps and hoes or '40's club parties all the time (doesn't make it right). But to market and sell something like this- totally inappropriate.

I look, sometimes lust, but buy elsewhere.

You all need to move on from the "Rick Santorum" issue. I myself am liberal but more importantly i'm pragmatic so let me explain how this works:

If you make a good deal of money and own a company you are most likely going to vote republican. republicans allow you to keep more of your money and allow your company to keep more of its money. Voting for a republican doesn't mean you support every crazy idea jackasses like Santorum have â€” its just good for business.

The financial allowances that most republican politicians tend to give businesses allow the owners to grow their companies which then in turn take care of their employees who then take care of their families and the economy.

Most businesses and their owners contribute to the republican party so let's all just move on.
