Urbanti DJ Console

Urbanti DJ Console

Mar 11, 2008

We took a peek at some DJ spaces a little while back, so when coming across this DJ console we had to share. The interesting thing about this console is that it is made completely out of salvaged materials. Old structural wood beams, recycled cork and wood scraps.

We like how the big, chunky beams and natural cork contrast against the shiny silver components and turntables. The two extremes just seem to balance each other. The pine beams were reused after the demolition of designer Trevor O'Neil's childhood home, so mass producing this console is probably not going to happen in the near future. It is comforting though, to see designers like Trevor O'Neil and Scrapile turning garbage into beautiful pieces of furniture.
