Laundry bags in general are a pain in the neck. They usually require some sort of frame or stand to keep them open, always taking up precious floor space. Make sure your little ones can get their dirty drawers up off the floor with this inexpensive hoop idea? Think of it as a more decorative version of a Nerf basketball hoop.
We're always at a loss when we see Martha Stewart showcasing an idea that's so simple and so useful at the same time. We love the idea of using an embroidery hoop (14" in diameter works best) to keep bags open, especially since it means we don't have to use those wretched stands anymore. Just a single hook on the wall is all we need to keep our dirty clothes under control.
Hang the hook at toddler height to help little ones take ownership of their own dirty laundry, kids love having a job to do and this is a great one to get a handle on early. Although it won't guarantee they'll still remember the art when they're older, at least you will know you have tried!

I actually used an embroidery hoop attached to a pillowcase to wrangle dirty bibs once my son started eating solids. When I washed the bibs, I unhooked the pillow and threw it the wash with the bibs.
Clever, clever, clever is all I can say.
OK. She's brilliant. (Or her people are.) I've been trying to figure out a way to make something similar with a large metal ring. This is so much easier than what was floating around in my brain.
