Touch screens are everywhere these days—controlling everything from the TV remote to your home phone. So it follows that screen protectors are everywhere, too. Here's a tip to clean under the plastic film: Use a little tape.

Most people know that when applying or re-positioning those sticky clear plastic screen protectors, you need to make sure that your device and your workspace is spotless.

A good idea is to clean with rubbing alcohol and wipe with a microfiber cloth. But for those really pesky dust particles—the ones that show up as immovable bubbles under the screen cover after you've laid the whole thing down—use some simple clear tape.

By wrapping the tape inside-out around your fingers—exactly like if you were making an impromptu lint roller—and tapping it against your screen, you can pick up every teeny spec that's separating you from bubble-free screen nirvana.
