If you're a follower of Martha Stewart or if you saw this post over at Apartment Therapy, you know that making your own chalkboard paint has been around for awhile. Although we recently talked about 10 ways to use up leftover paint, we have one more to add to the list: turn it into chalkboard paint, because there are so many small ways to use it around your home:
A few examples:
• To label jars
• To paint a landing strip
• To cover a lamp body or shade
• To cover all or part of your kitchen cabinets
• To chalkboard up your mini fridge or even a full size kitchen refrigerator!
• For painting thick pillar candles
• To cover a window for wall art
• To add a little design to a dresser

I love the jar idea.
no offense, but it looks terrible in that kitchen. and who has enough ashtrays and bug spray to fill a cupboard each?
cute ideas, though. the jar idea is definitely a good one.
