We spotted this photo from Lonny Magazine over at Say Yes to Hoboken and really like the idea of the mirror tucked between the crib and the wall. In a small space, chances are the nursery is the smallest room in the house. We've seen several that don't even have a window.
We all know about how large floor mirrors can add depth and light to an otherwise claustrophobic room. So why not try one in the nursery? The fact that your baby will find their reflection entertaining is just an added bonus.

That mirror is amazing! I bet the baby LOVES looking at herself in the crib!
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Was thinking of doing something similar in my girl's nursery with a mirror from Brocade Home, but I'm on a budget. Anyone know a discount code or a different place to buy the same mirror for less?
That's very cool! I wonder how much it'd distract my toddler from her naps. HAHAHA!
Beautiful!!
Id imagine someone like Paris Hilton having a nursery like that as a baby. Haha. Always an opportunity to look at yourself! This really is beautiful.
The real question is how to clean off all of the fingerprints and noseprints that will end up on the mirror each day. :)
Beautiful! What a bright addition for a small space.
If you hang one that comes closer to the floor a tummy time/sitting/crawling child can amuse himself independently in the mirror while mom or dad puts tiny clothes away, cleans, drinks coffee etc.
We have mirrors (though none this beautiful) hung and child's height in both our play area and bathroom: for sure brightens up and enlarges the space, and keeps our little one entertained for long periods of time. At 11 months our daughter now loves combing her hair (sort of) in front of the one in the bathroom.
I love the way it looks - but it makes me nervous too. I keep thinking of Flat Stanley! I am sure a piece that size is very securely anchored to the wall - especially over a sleeping baby!
i love that crib--anyone know what brand it is?
The crib is the Oeuf Sparrow. We have one and love it! Our daughter used it for 2 years and now it will be used for baby #2. It is a slightly lower height than most cribs, making it much easier to reach in/out for your baby/toddler.
I have been looking all over for a big mirror like this. Does anyone know where I could find one?
Is this mirror unbreakable?
This looks so lovely - but since I live in a major earthquake zone, I cringe when I think of a mirror near a sleeping baby.
A caveat: placing a mirror above a crib can be very dangerous in seismically challenging terrain like California. Here in the SF Bay Area we keep heavy objects and especially breakable ones away from our bedsides.
I love this look but have the same feelings about quake safety in LA! Our nursery has safety glass mirrored closet doors which I wouldn't want in my own room, but I think will be GREAT for a baby! He'll be able to see himself as he crawls and plays.
holy moly i want that mirror. puts mine to major shame!!

Beautiful! Love it!
This just seems so darn unsafe to me. One nice knock with a wooden toy or an earthquake? Yikes. Plus, it seems like it would be scary for a baby. It would reflect any blips of light any of their movements. Not a fan.
I like the look, but all our wall space is taken up by art--I'd hate to take anything down to hang a big mirror and have to look at myself instead.
Is it legal to have a nursery/bedroom without a window? I spend part of my year working in Alaska where building codes are often ignored, and windowless rooms are sometimes an advantage (middle of summer)--but I'm sure it's not legal here in Wisconsin.
Gorgeous! I bet the "mirror faces" the baby makes are priceless!

Love the mirror but it's not a good idea for Feng Shui.
That mirror is gorgeous, but way to big in scale for that crib. According to feng shui a mirror adds energy to a space and should not be hung over or around anyone's bed. It seems to me that having a mirror by a crib is just way too stimulating. I'm thinking many parents just get this instinctually which is why you don't see it often.
scary! love the mirror, but mirrors anywhere near beds scare me. and it is bad feng shui.
This look is stunning, and I'm not so concerned about feng shui.
My problem, though, is that a mirror like that is going to cost thousands of dollars--and that's more than I can afford to spend on an entire nursery.
This is really nice for inspirational coveting, though. :D
