We spotted this fun idea in the latest West Elm catalog... They've used tall pillar holders to act as stands to display other things besides candles! Varying the height of objects is a great tip when putting together a vignette. We love how they placed a bud vase, a small dish, and even a simple ball of twine on the tops...

The candle holders are the Plastered Aluminum Pillar holders. Has anyone does this in their home?
