Are you looking to do something bold in the nursery or kid's room? Color most often is the chosen method for making a bold statement, and while we love color, don't overlook sheer size. Check out this Animals wallpaper from Frédéric Bonnin and Cécile Figuette of Paris design studio Minakani.
The duo created a graphic wall treatment featuring simple animal figures that would have been cute no matter the size. But when blown-up to such a large scale, Animals wallpaper looks more like art. We love how a simple pattern can make such an impact even without much color. The large scale allows keeps the wall treatment from being too busy and allows other competing patterns to be used in the same room. Now THAT'S cute.
So whimsical!
LOVE!
kinda scarey.
I thought it was painted on the wall...which wouldn't be a bad idea either, and much easier to remove than wallpaper.
Unrelated to the actual topic: I am really not digging the Ohdeedoh in my AT. I don't have kids and I don't care about nursery decor, dagnabbit! :)
I'm not crazy about seeing so much nursery decor, either. (been there, done that)
That said my early childhood bedroom had a zoo theme wallpaper on it and it literally gave me nightmares to the point that
my mother had to take it down. Nightmares gone!
Those animals are a little creepy, too.
If you don't want to look at it, don't click the link, and quityerbitchin because it's beautiful, relevant design that can be adapted to many tastes, not just nurseries. The end.
Also don't have much interest in baby stuff, but I have to say, I love the design. I'd love to see suggestions for ways of incorporating the mega-design into non-nursery decor :)
