When you go out on a limb and spend a few extra dollars on yourself or someone special, it can be hard to do if it's your first time using a specific service. Especially when it comes to flowers, it's easy to worry if they will be fresh or even the right color! Holly over at Decor8 tells all on her recently delivery of the above flowers from the 1-800 Flowers Martha Stewart collection. Click through the jump to hear more on her great experience!
Founder and Editor of Decor8, Holly Becker has some amazing photos of her beautiful flowers from Martha Stewart that just came in the mail today. We have personally always been worried when ordering flowers that we aren't personally picking out stem by stem, but this gleaming review puts our minds at ease. At least when it comes to ordering from Martha that is! Although when such a cute vase is included, coupons can be used, it's wrapped in great packaging and you get a free magazine subscription... it's hard not to swoon!
Check out her full review of the process, along with more photos, coupon codes and more over at Decor8!
Thanks Holly!

Shaw's Original Fir...
This is such a welcome change from the carnations-and-baby's-breath bouquets I've received from friends who ordered on-line or by phone.

My husband sent me Martha Stewart lilies and apart from being in better condition than any other mail-order flowers I've received, the vase was gorgeous. Good job Martha!
another good bet is to try to find a local shop in the town you're sending them to and give them a call. the main problem with ordering flowers online or from chain stores is that they use standard bouquet arrangements-- so even if the store that's completing the bouquet doesn't have the freshest tulips, your bouquet called for 6 so they're going in. and when you're actually talking to someone, you can ask questions back and forth to get it right, and they can suggest options you might not have even thought of.
martha's flowers look like a good thing (of course). vera wang has a similar deal going on with ftd.
I'm confused. Aren't flowers ordered online made by whatever florist is closest to the delivery site? Therefore, everyone's experience is going to be completely different....right? Like foodefafa said, it just makes sense to call a florist close to where you want them to go and talk directly to them to see what they have fresh.
Wow. They are perfect !
So pretty. I love how they're sent, but it's sad because I just went to send some to my friend and they're not available in her area. :( I think it's just certain florists who have agreed to these standards. Boo.
Forget the flowers. I want that painting!
