Whatever our relationship status, Valentine's Day has always inspired us with its bright and playful color combos. We love celebrating this day of love with a group of friends and are currently looking for a fun way to decorate the table. We spotted this unique tablescape over at The City Sage (plus a how-to for creating your own).
Kelly (of Kelly Oshiro Events) and Tim (of Tim Halberg Photography) collaborated to create this inspiring tablescape for Anne over at The City Sage. A wonderful color combo of orange, pink and white, the scene reads flirty and romantic. Sticking to a small budget, Kelly picked up inexpensive items from Michael's, eBay and Goodwill to transform this dining room table. We love her tip to use clear plates when working with an interesting table top. That way, the view remains unobstructed while showing off what's underneath. And don't forget to check out Anne's blog for the complete how-to here.

Oooo...what a great idea - and cost effective. Lovely!

I don't know...that looks like the kind of tablescaping only Sandra Lee could love.
Ugh.
Though the term tablescape gives me hives, I think this is actually cute and not over the top.
I'm not sure if this is totally my style, but I love the idea of woven streamers as a table covering at a party! I may be stealing this idea...
I'd be careful about red or orange streamers on a table where you have drinks. The dye in them can really stain if it gets wet.
I would be careful with this idea. I have had streamers bleed on me when wet....and stain.
Great idea, but I bet it would be a pain in the ass to put together. Props to those who attempt this! :)
I don't mind it, but the stuff on the back of the chairs is a bit much. Do grownups really need this stuff? And you sure can't get passionate, ala Bull Durham, on a table with streamers.
I Think it looks cute, but i can't imagine how annoying it would be to actually sit down to dinner at this table! Imagine leaning, reaching, passing dishes, getting up and sitting down...thee slightest movement and the damn thing would start to come apart!
Besides the fact that streamers bleed when wet and could ruin your table - and the fact that it's kinda cheesy...
...it's a terrific waste of paper.
Invest $25-$50 in a nice cotton tablecloth and use it for the next 20-30 years.
LOVE it! I am sharing this on my Pink and Orange blog:

Beautiful colors! Great job Kelly Anne!
Nooo way this is hideous, cluttered, tacky, I don't like it at all!
fun!
Wow. I would never in a million... MILLION years have the patience to do this... ew.
