Have you banished all your vampires, or do you still have some lurking around the corners of your home? Here's a snazzy new "Vampire Awareness" Web site and video...

Launched just in time for Halloween, VampirePowerSucks.com and the accompanying Vampire Awareness Month video are sponsored by iGo, a producer of green power management solutions. It's a marketing campaign, to be sure, but there's some genuinely useful information for anyone interested in reducing energy consumption and saving money.

We especially like the vampire loss calculator, an interactive feature that shows how much energy you're "bleeding" from household appliances.

The video manages to be both entertaining and educational, and it's something we'd consider sharing with friends and family who might not be totally familiar with the issue of vampire power.
