VAP Cooking Steamer Concept

Since we live in a one person at a time sized kitchen, we think this kitchen steaming appliance concept from French designer Arthur Senant is a good once, since it requires the use of one less stove burner to steam cook a variety of ingredients and offers a digital interface for cooking timing and temperature...

Arthur Senant designed the VAP Steamer with the microwave-less kitchen in mind (and for high end British kitchen appliance maker, De Dietrich), and has incorporated an ingenious way home checks can set the timer and notification for cooking a steamed meal. The cooking process is conceived as a 6-step process:

1. fill unit with water
2. set power
3. program timer and lock by twisting "dial hands" (the handles) ontop of steamer
4. cook; handles ontop of steamer turn as timer winds down
5. when finished, handles and digital display units will line up and illuminate with green finished icon
6. remove steamer cooking unit, drain and serve!
