While I love a single centerpiece — it can feel so purposeful and grand — right now what I'm really enjoying is using multiple small vases to showcase the blooms, greens, fronds, and herbs from my garden and local farmers markets. As we've reported before, there are so many different containers you can use for these carefree arrangements. It's also a great way to use collectibles (creamers, salt-and-pepper shakers, bud vases, shot glasses) that are gathering dust. Here's a sampling of inspiration from around the web.

Cute! Love the first one, especially
Dahlias are my favorite flower. When I moved to Seattle and saw them everywhere I knew I'd found my home. :-)
I've got a turquoise, light green and clear vase grouping of crapsidia blossoms going in my apartment. I love their shape and how long the stems can be, it sure gives a lot of height to my vase grouping. Not to mention the fact that they dry so easily and last forever.
I have a couple of photos of them on my blog.

I adore the idea of using salt and pepper shakers and they look very elegant. The aqua and pink vases/flowers together in the first photo are one of my favorite color combos. Darling!
