“What is this, velvet?” Do you ever get a design idea stuck in your head and all you can think about is how it would make life perfect? For me, the latest is a velvet tufted headboard.
This is the kind of rich luxury reserved for kings, queens and hotel rooms. Most of these rooms are dressed up, but I like the idea of taking something ornate and dressing it down. Like the headboard paired with the brick wall in the 6th photo.
What's your current design kick? Do you plan on fulfilling your décor dreams or letting the impulse pass?

A velvet tufted headboard is totally me & I am lucky enough to have discovered the pink one that my oh-so-stylish Nana had stashed in her garage. I remember the majority of people posting on AT being horrified by Brocade Home when it first surfaced, and it kind of disappointed me that posters weren't more open minded about looks that might not fit their own personal taste...so I'm happy to see this post. I have a nightstand like that gold-leaf one, although mine is more elaborate (still gold). It's vintage (although not antique) Italian. Haven't found the perfect bed to go with it though... am still searching and pondering...
