We fell in love a little at the Caboom show. The object of our desire: Venice Art Tiles, who make the most beautiful hand made tiles we have ever seen. Venice Art Tiles “metamorphosed through many incarnations like the lizards and bumble bees in an Escher drawing”.

They began as friends coming together to completely renovate the Venice Art House. We love a company that is born from good art and community.

The tiles can be created to fit whatever specifications needed. The large 10-inch tiles would make any floor spectacular.

Venice art tiles also make interesting sconces from the tiles, some of which are a little “arty” for our taste, but the coloring of the tiles are so good, they might be the perfect touch to individualize your space.

In the “is it art or product?” category- their cool displays of tiles set in heavy wood frames were so chic that people wanted to buy them as art. That has got to be the best selling point we can think of... it also doesn’t hurt that the designer Michael has matinee idol looks, to boot.
