The feature we most enjoyed while attending the recent Dwell on Design show was getting up close and personal with many of the prefab homes we've ogled both online and in print. One of the most ogle-worthy was Marmol Radziner's prefab...sort of the Tom Ford of prefab homes on display. LA Times video journalist Carlos V. Uribe shot some footage of a Marmol Radziner prefab going up in Venice, alongside getting some behind the scenes insight from both partners of Marmol Radziner about the design....
We love how the house is delivered like a wrapped present and how quickly it's all put together. We're not too fond of the SUV at the end of the clip juxtaposed with the mention of the "connection to the environment". Watch the fascinating process and insight here.

Prefab homes have a reputation that is only one step above trailer homes. They may be technically interesting but no one really ones to live in one.
