Here at AT, we love a good collection (like Sarah's Chalkware Animals, which we featured right here). The team at Venus Zine (lead by Amy, whose own great looking Chicago home we featured right here) are putting together a piece about people who have cool collections of stuff that serve as design inspiration for their homes. Interested? Jump below to find out how to be featured:
The word from Venus:
Have you been collecting Stevie Nicks memorabilia since you were 13? How about sand from beaches of the world, or shot glasses or salt and pepper shakers? If you've got a collection of objects at your home, Venus Zine wants to know about it! Email a photo (jpg) of your collection along with your name, age, location, and an answer to the question "What's missing to complete your collection?" (no more than 100 words please) to Justina@venuszine.com, and your collection could be featured in an upcoming issue of Venus Zine! Deadline is December 10th.
And...if you would like to have your collection featured on Apartment Therapy:

I have frogs all over my bathroom, which started with a single shower curtain from Target (which I no longer have).
And I have cows all over my kitchen, which started with a cow print potholder (also no longer in my possession).
I try to keep both collections modern and simple so as to avoid looking country-bumpkin, too childish, or cliche. In fact, the cow theme in the kitchen is often overlooked by guests.
I collect old skeleton keys. Unfortunately, I don't have very many, and I don't think they are worth all that much money. Otherwise I would have shown them off on this site by now. :(
I collect old linen post cards and group them together based on location. Then I frame them in unique patterns and have a nice colorful themed wall hanging. Currently have New York, Utah, and Palm Canyon sets. :)
