As you may recall, last month I was interested to see my neighbors attempting some extreme vertical gardening up the side of their brownstone. I promised to keep you updated and document the progress. Here, compare the growth in the past month:

As you can see, they've grown a few feet and are now up to the first floor windows. I thought they might have grown quicker than this, but there's a long summer still ahead. Stay tuned...

(I still don't have a definitive answer for what the neighbors are growing. Many readers suggested hops which can grow up to 25 feet which seems like a good guess.)
