We really love vertical gardens – they’re great for small spaces and make beautiful works of art, privacy walls or even a vegetable garden. If you’re feeling a little intimidated about how to make one, Smith & Hawken’s got a few things to help get you started…
Smith & Hawken has two different types of vertical gardens:
The Mini Garden, is a modular stackable tray that can be easily assembled essentially anywhere. Each stack has three planting pockets can stack up to nine rows high. The garden kit come in either green or terra cotta color polypropylene at $59 for 3 sets of trays.
The other option is the Large Vertical Garden. The kit comes with 2 planting panels that accommodate 90 planting ‘cells’ total. The garden wall can be installed freestanding or wall mounted, used indoors and outdoors, and includes a built-in water catchment tray. Each kit includes 1 cedar frame and 2 recyclable plastic planting panels for $399. The planting panels can also be purchased separately for $69.
