In addition to the bulls-eye pillows that sparked a debate two weeks ago, Run Run Studio Inc. also makes vintage victory-inspired pillows, recalling the days of World War II. Amy at Red Barn Mercantile had some suggestions for us as to what might go with such pillows.
We can totally see this working in a basement office, especially a basement in the patriotic, political Mid-Atlantic for a bit pre mid-century nostalgia. Even one piece would add some fun vintage-ness.
• 1 Victory pillows, $145 at Red Barn Mercantile
• 2 Swiss Army-blanket chair, $925 at Red Barn. Even a Swiss Army throw would be an awesome addition.
• 3 War posters at South Pointe Gallery (You can also find posters at Style de Vie).
• 4 Tanker desk at Twenty Gauge. (See how sweet a similar desk looks in Wendy's rowhouse).

Loving that chair...
...but $1000 is awfully spendy for something that you could get from Military Surplus for @ $100 and an Army blanket that can be had for @ $50 - even if you have a professional do the work, the labor isn't gonna cost you $300.
I was thinking the same thing. I so love that chair. I think buying a few army type blankets and recovering your dining chairs would be cool too - or any chair/stool seat.
I have a chair like that to sell - and craigslist isn't going to be the place to do it. not looking for a fortune for it, just someone who will love it's awesome shape and original tags and material. :)
any suggestions for selling it?
http://vintagraph.com/ also has repros of great vintage posters. I believe the two sites mentioned here sell originals (and are therefore spendy).
