Recently I came across New York Social Diary and their own house tour features titled, The Way They Live or Decorator Series. These features offers a glimpse into some stunning homes, offices or studios around the city — sometimes including the unbelievable views these places offer as well!
Last week I did a posting about the artist Matteo Pericoli and his illustrations of views from the windows of New York City homes. With photographs, beautifully taken by Jeffery Hirsch, one can see the color and light in the sky, the trees, and the taxis below.

Oh, I wish I wish I wish...
I love the New York Social Diary. Whenever I'm feeling particularly depressed about my social status, (or being let go from my job) I'll point my browser to "The List/Cameo".

Holy crap. Not for the faint of heart (I'm afraid of heights! and here in DC, very few of us live more than 2 or 3 stories up), but I rather like the Park Avenue view. At least that one has a little bit of greenery.
Love these vistas...
...makes me a bit sad for the people who don't have at least a little view.
All these high-rise views are so lovely. BUT being the owner of 2 dogs I prefer to live in an apartment or townhouse with a back yard. I know people who live in apartment buildings and I can't imagine having to walk/take elevator every time my furbabies had to use the potty. But then again, I guess a lot of high-rise folks train their doggies to use litter boxes like cats.
I'm so jealous of these views. We have a first-floor view of a dinky schoolyard, which soon will be replaced by a view of a brick wall (how cliché) when the school fills in the schoolyard with a new building, which will be about 10 feet from our windows. Ugh.
I always wondered: has anybody ever counted or estimated the number of apartments with a Cenral Park view?
Sherry, I'd like to know that too, and I'd like to know what the cheapest Central park view apartment would cost and where it would be.
fantastic post! thank you, u made my day :)
Oh wow....so JEALOUS!
