Is there any risk associated with eating or using vintage cookware, bakeware, plates, etc.? Lead paint was a huge problem before it was banned in the 1970s and I'm hesitant to use vintage pans or plates that may have been lead-based. I tend to not eat off of vintage things unless I can verify they don't pose any risk. I like using them for display or for food I can wash, like fruit, but not for food that has direct contact and can't be washed.
