Vintage-Looking Seating from Sundance

There were these old stools we used (and took for granted) in school and we'd sure love to have one now. They weren't exactly like Sundance's Modern Times Factory Stool up top, but a little more like this:

Stools like the Mid-century Studio Stool from the Sundance Catalog were all over the place in college. Seeing this one makes us wistful. The stool is made of steel and stands 27-1/2" high.

It's really easy and cheap to get actual old insititutional furniture at universities and college property redistribution centers. They sell off their old furniture and equipment there, and I've found some amazing stuff.

Love them, but they're way pricey.

Crazy, I have that first stool. I bought it off a lady who I was supposed to buy her Eames LCW chairs from but didn't like the cherry finish. Turns out she had this stool and wanted to get rid of it so I bought it instead for $75. Glad I got a deal, but I thought it was really vintage :).
