Location: County Limerick, Ireland
I've recently updated my bedroom after I got inspired on House to Home website. I painted my walls dark grey, added different lamps and pictures. It wasn't expensive and it made such a difference! Have a look! To make it even more interesting I'm adding pictures from before and after.
Thanks for sharing, Violet!

What a difference a coat of paint makes....
I'm in process of redoing my BR. Unfortunately, did not think to take before pictures.
Small changes made a big difference! This is a good example for those who are afraid to paint woodwork. It instantly updated the room. I'm envisioning the palest lavender on your ceiling…
I think it looks gorgeous. (Not that it looked bad before.)
Thanks for sharing!
Wow. this is beautiful! Love the wall color with the pillows, linens and artwork. Great job- thanks for sharing!
It looks great! I've been wanting to paint my room grey as well. I'd love to know the brand and name of paint that you used.
Sexy!
LOVE your room. We have a purple scheme in our bedroom and I've had difficulty trying to choose a wall color that would look nice that would be rather neutral. I've been thinking about a dark grey, but wasn't sure if it would make the room too dark. You've totally convinced me!
The grey paint is nice, but the pink accents really make this room beautiful.
This is beautiful and elegant. Nice job!
Wow, it was a very nice "before" and now it is a beautiful AND striking "after". You have a great sense of design!
This looks super. What a difference! I was toying with the idea of using dark gray for our bedroom, too, which is really large and sparsely furnished. After seeing yours, I think I'll definitely go with it, as our floors and windows are the exact color of your bed frame. A nice combination I think. Can you tell us the brand and color?
I really like the light and airy "Before", but I love the warm and cosy "After". I would never have thought this dark a grey could be that warm looking, but by using it with all those pinks and purples you really brought out another element to it. And I also love the white woodwork with the dark walls - extra congratulations for painting over the wood, so many people are afraid to to that.
You clearly have a great eye, would love to see the rest of your place. Maybe a house call or even a house tour?
Amazing difference. The shade of gray is perfect.
Can you let us know what color paint you used?
I would also really like to know the name of the paint.
For everyone who wanted to know name and brand of paint I have to say it's Crown solo® Mid Sheen Emulsion- colour is called Smoulder.
I love it! So luxurious with the purple and that paint color. Congrats!
the wall color is great! thank you for letting us know the brand and color. What is the style of your bed? It's exactly what I had in mind for my room.
Cheers!
Topeka, I'm not sure about style of my bed. The only think I can say about bed is that we got it in local furniture shop fo some silly money and that is made from wood called aged oak.
