IKEA just introduced the VIRRE Slide. Having a slide indoors? A fun little luxury for the kids that we would love to be able to fit somewhere in the house.
Designed by Wiebke Braasch, VIRRE has a beech veneer finish. It's recommended for children 18 months and older. You can get VIRRE for $149 at your local IKEA. Unfortunately, it's not available online.

perfect!!!!
my son is going to be 18 months this month and slides are his favorite at the park. we just looked at little slides at toysrus the other day... and they are so ugly and around the same price or more! i know he doesn't care what it looks like... but if im going to spend a certain amount i might as well get one thats pleasing to the eye! plus he has birch bentwood side tables and this would echo that look... along with red as an accent color.
To be fair to the manufacturers, they're making ugly plastic slides to endure horrible weather, sun exposure, etc. You can always make your own and instead of using plastic, use stainless steel to make the slide as fast as possible!
i spent so much time searching for an indoor slide at Christmas time. i even talked to a carpenter to have one made. now i'll just get this. so excited!
Wow, am I the only one blown away by that price tag? Is this bigger than a usual toddler slide?
No, I"m quite surprised by the price tag as well, being that this is Ikea and all...
I saw this at Ikea last weekend. It's not very big. My 3 year old's feet would touch the ground if he was sitting at the top of the slide. Also, it is a bit pricey for Ikea. But it's nice-looking!
