A straightforward idea executed in a unique way is the basis for much of the most impressive design and architecture. Nendo designed this furniture line from plain foam core strengthened with high-tech carbon fiber tape.

The tape is used in a wonderfully graphic way that easily transcends ornamentation by virtue of being an essential structural element. The handmade quality of the pieces is also a fascinating contrast to the carbon fiber material which Nendo describes as having an “almost stereotypical futuristic image” when used in furniture.
