Vornado Flippi Personal Circulators Keep Your Gear (and Head) Cool

LA folks will nod in agreement that summer is just around the corner (we just endured a bout of unexpected near triple digit temps) and that means your computer and other home tech equipment can be damaged by overheating. Not everyone has central cooling or even an air conditioner, so it's extremely important to at least keep air circulating when the temps climb above 80 degrees (as any Xbox 360 owner well knows). We're personally thinking of purchasing one amongst the line of personal circulators like these from Vornado, as they look perfect for both cooling our CPU and our own sweaty brows...

The smallest Flippi V6 moves 20 ft. of air, can flip almost 180 degrees to blow up or across wherever you need it, has two speeds and comes in four colours. And as someone who has a girlfriend who finds 80 degrees on the brink of cold, one of these might be a nice bedside option instead of the air conditioner when evenings are warm enough, resulting in lower energy bills. We'll just have to see how quiet they are in operation. There's also a larger Flippi V model which includes a 3 speed LED display that moves double the amount of air and comes with a remote, making it an ideal home office solution to keep air blowing around your desktop or laptop. The fact that these come in a selection of colours and sport a non-fugly design is a bonus.
