Have you ever wanted a room divider or screen for your home? If you're a fan of color, this installation might give you a new thrifty option. Can you tell what it's made from?
We spotted this unusual installation over at Designboom from the Like Architects team. Its take on movement, color, art and architecture is a unique one — they've transformed 2,000 children's hangers from IKEA into this beautiful screen.
Although purchasing them at retail probably isn't your least expensive option, putting out a call on Craigslist might yield you more hangers than you thought possible for free. It's a unique way to look at and repurpose an everyday item — we say job well done.

Nomade Express Slee...
Hangers! Cool idea...too bad I just got rid of most of my plastic hangers in favor of the newer slim felt hangers.
I live in a small apartment and try to maximize light as much as possible. Therefore, I like the idea of the webbing in the back better than the hangers.
Ikea hangers! I have so many of those sitting in a box.
How funny! Love that you can customize this easily. You could even do a checkered or chevron or ombre effect. Very cool.
Very creative! But that added up to $750 USD...
This would make a great surround for a shower. Even at $750, it would probably be less expensive than a conventional surround, and you might not even need the entire 2,000.
tacky
I could tell that these are ikea children's hangers right away ;))
It's made of ugly.
It looks like colored plastic hangers. I like it!
That's very interesting, but the moment I saw it I knew, "plastic hangers!"
