It's safe to say that we harbor envy towards any closet space that's over 3 feet wide (luckily the closets in our soon-to-be home are an upgrade). And while Jennifer's walk-in closet is above and beyond what is realistic for us, there are some great decor elements going on in her space.
Choosing dark paint make the clothes and shoes stand out. It also helps the space seem less busy and Jennifer can focus on what to wear for the day.
White is a great accent color when paired with darker walls. The white appears whiter and makes the closet feel classic and crisp.
Strategic display of jewelry gives the smallest hint of a bright color and adds a playful, fun element to the room.
Use hooks or a display rack for easy access to accessories. Having purses and scarves arranged in the open means you'll more likely to incorporate them into your outfit.
Mix in mirrors (hang a floor length mirror on the back of a door or place one next to your closet). Not only will it make the space appear larger, you'll be able to try on outfits with ease.

Very nice. I'd call it a dressing room, rather than a closet.
For a room like this, it helps to be a neatnik.
Oh...oh I want...sadly I have the 3ft variety.
I have the three foot variety also... Jennifer please close the shade so your clothes don't fade in the sun and you might think to add some stuffing to your wonderful bag collection to help them keep their shape. I love the color choices and the vintage mirrors mixed with the modern lines of the dresser. i'm wondering if this mimics her clothing style?
So jealous.. that looks like half my room! My closet is overflowing with clothes. I love your mirror and vanity - so chic!
i'm green with envy! each time i moved last year my closet got smaller and smaller. you could fit about 24 of my current closets in there and still have room :(
My closet is basically a coat closet. I have vaulted ceilings so it ends up being smaller than a typical coat closet. A second clothes bar (whatever you call it) was installed behind the first one, and it's installed lower on account of the vaulted ceiling. So I have my shirts on the back on and pants on the front one. A shoe rack was installed on one of the side walls.
I'm still fabulous though. ;)
Wish I had an extra room to use as a dressing room though, totally jealous.
What is your paint color? I love it.
This is great! I recently moved into a Brownstone apt that has an alcove room off of the Bedroom. It's about the same size as this example, has a window as well, and i too have turned this into my "closet".
I was considering going a different route with color, but i love this idea of a neutral color.
So stinkin cute! Love the gray and white.
where are the mirrors from? love love love!
This isn't a walk in closet - it's a dressing room. I would have chosen more private window coverings if this is the room Jenny plans to use to dress.
Oh, I adore that closet!!!
i have seen that same closet organizer in another blog....is it available for purchase? if so where can i get one?
