Chauntelle Trinh and Eckard Buscher understand this love of cities, and as architects and artists, they’ve crafted this understanding into laser-cut stainless steel cityscapes – circuit boards of metropolitan soul. They recognize that each city has a beauty of its own... yet when viewed abstractly and from a distance, they (and by extension we) are more similar than first imagined...
Striking on their own, or amassed as an amazing (albeit costly) collection, these metropolitan cityscapes offer a modern take on our shared love of topographies and the cities they represent.
1. Amsterdam, $845
2. New York City, $885
3. Tokyo, $926
Currently, there are 14 cities available for purchase, with more on the way.

Oh, my goodness... These are beautiful. I've been noticing more people creating these sorts of map papercuts [and papercuts in general] lately, and I'm just in love.
My studio actually created a screenprint [similar look to these images, but not cut paper] of Over-the-Rhine, our neighborhood in Cincinnati:

VisuaLingualLtd, I love that screenprint! (And I can actually afford it, too.) I'd love one of Philadelphia....
They've done 14 cities actually... It's lovely to see say, Hong Kong or Sydney contrasted with New York or Paris...
I love it! But you guys are missing on of the biggest city of the world MEXICO CITY! I'd love one!:)
1. I really like these, but not their price.
2. I second phillaylay's comment.
3. I like these too - and they have Philly! Even though it looks a bit crowded compared to some of the other cities. :(
they have these by an artist on etsy.. i forget the name but they're cheaper and really cool
Pricy. If I buy one of these, I'll be on HomeOwnerTherapy.com instead of ApartmentTherapy.com, but thanks for the offer.
VisuaLingualLtd, I also love your Cincin print and would LOVE a Philadelphia version! And I love that Philly poster, the urban girl!
Etsy artist "studiokmo" has some Philly stuff...
They're lovely but pricey for laser cut stainless steel and at a pretty small size. I would love to see these twice the size or bigger.
Sidenote: they would make great stencils.
Nice stuff VisualLingualLtc!
I love these! I designs like this. I like the Ork ones as well.
WISH I could find Pittsburgh. My hometown.
They are nice but are you kidding me with that mark up? Google Large Image search or Google Earth > Screenshot > a bit of Photoshop > Kinko's > Ikea Frame all for less then $15.
