This weekend we toured the Dwell on Design homes. Although we didn't get to take as many pictures as we would've liked (photography for publication at many of the homes was off limits), we'll be sharing what we did photograph later this week. In the meantime, we thought we'd whet your appetite with these images of the home we saw in Atwater Village. Check out the wallpaper that caught our attention…

It covered one wall in the master bedroom; in the kid's room, the vivid pink landscape marched over all four walls. The rounded figures reminded us of a cross between the lovable Moomin Troll and the work of Susan Perl, an artist whose work illustrated many children's books in the mid-70's. (If the black and white one were hung in our home, we'd be tempted to color it in!)

Turns out that it is designed and made in Los Angeles by Geoff McFetridge, a local Atwater artist. The wallpapers are hand silk-screened using recyclable paper and water-based inks. Click here to see more of his wonderfully whimsical wallpapers.
