Wallpaper* Design Awards 2010

Last night was the Wallpaper* Design Award Ceremony at the Wilkinson Gallery in London — New York walked away with "Best City" and "Best Life Enhancer" for the very deserving Highline. The Wallpaper* Awards represent the best of everything: from best baths and vases to best genes and jeans. There were 66 categories, with eleven key awards. The best city and best fashion collections were decided by an external judging panel and the remaining 55 were nominated and awarded by Wallpaper* editors and contributors.

5: Best new restaurant: Kaa, Sao Paulo, Brazil, by Studio Arthur Casas

6: Life-enhancer of the year: The High Line, by Friends of the High Line, James Corner Field Operations and Diller Scofido + Renfro
7: Best new public building: Koncerthuset, Copenhagen, Denmark, by Atelier Jean Nouvel
