Imagine the natural beauty of a stone accent wall without the grout or tile cutter. Especially wonderful if you're personalizing a rental but don't want the five figure bill for real stone tiles. This innovated new wallpaper from Lori Weitzner (the same designer of this woven newspaper wallpaper) is actually a paper backed stone veneer that comes in 2' x 4' flexible sheets. They have the rough texture of stone and the natural variety of mineral patterning.
Designed by the New York-based Lori Weitzner, the wallpapers are available in two options (Quarry and Stratum), but can only be ordered through a designer.
This product does require an additional step not normally required in the hanging of wallpaper. Because it is a natural stone surface, it is susceptible to the absorption of oils from the skin, so the manufacturer recommends sealing it after it has been hung. It is also not recommended for kitchen or bathroom installation.
This definitely takes the faux stone wallpapers a step further to really add warmth and texture without fear of someone going to touch it and realizing it's a fake.
