We've seen paint, murals and decals on nursery walls, but don't forget about wallpaper as a decorating option.
A white nursery with one wallpapered focal wall is interesting and modern, but not busy and overdone. Wallpapering just one wall means you can choose a bold pattern like the one shown in the photo. Any readers have a wallpapered nursery or playroom?

This room looks so relaxing and soothing, I love the book shelves!
have we ever figured out who the fabulous teal octopus wallpaper in tori spelling's son's nursery was? i know pics of the nursery have been featured here on Ohdeedoh before...
hints?
I am in love with the nursery pictured! The wallpaper gives the white wall some amazing warmth.
I wallpapered half wall of my DD room with a Designers Guild japanese inspiration pattern, that helped me to introduce the "Paris Japan" theme of the room ... sound bizarre but it works soooooooo nice :) and yesterday I've finished the new playroom, I'm so proud! I have wallpapered 2 walls with another Designers Guild wallpaper, a 70's inspiration pink and green flowers. I love it so much, even thinking in moving in there!
We wallpapered one room of my son's small bedroom. Four walls in a small space would have been overkill, but one wall adds some pattern and interest without being overwhelming. I love the look.
