Lately we've been feeling a little frustrated by how, well, unkempt our bed looks. With a duvet, quilts, and featherbed, it looks a little bulky. These days we're drawn to the sleek, neat, modern look of Wallter Textiles, who you may recognize by their former name -- Fold Bedding.

El Cerrito-based couple Max and Linda Geiser developed streamlined wool bedspreads that were made to tuck in easily around platform beds, or drape beautifully over traditional beds for vintage appeal. Coordinating pillows and throws complete the textile line.

Wallter's bedspreads, pillows, and throw blankets are made from 100% wool flannel and MAHARAM fabrics, in sophisticated, monochromatic or color block designs, and subtly surface-textured with overlock stitching.

Wallter Textiles can be ordered directly, or from online retailers such as Design Public and 2Modern. A list of retailers is here). In the Bay Area, you can find their bedding at Propeller, The Magazine, and FINDecor.
Wallter's line has also expanded to include wall decor and mobiles.
