"We set out to make a modern clock with retro undertones and a full functionality. It can be difficult to find a clock with a good balance of style and readability, so that was our challenge."

"Vincent came up with the overall design and I assisted with the color choice and number design. The use of sustainable wood products and environmentally friendly paints and finishes is a key element in our designs."

There seems to be something strange happening with the voting form. I can only select 2 of the 3 options, and unfortunately, the one I would like to select is the one that can't be selected.
I would love to know what is sustainable or environmentally friendly about walnut veneer mdf. The lumber yards I shop at don't offer FSC walnut veneer on MDF. It's on ply-core. Also MDF creates the nastiest dust, not to mention the formaldehyde glue used to manufacture MDF.
Reminds me of a quirkier version of the Talin clock from Crate & Barrel.
@pickett
It uses less actual wood than just walnut, I guess.
@pickett, mdf manufacturers now comply with heavy regulations from CARB so it has very low levels of formaldehyde. also, it's impossible to get rid of formaldehyde completely. almost everything around you contains some level of it, including solid wood. http://bit.ly/r20LVC
Ehhh, I don't know. Of ALL the things in the design showcase, this one isn't "taking the cake" for me.
