You'd think that this is just a hunk of wood, but you'd be wrong. The Pause Heater looks amazing, but heating isn't the only thing it does. There is a lot more to this hunk of wood than just heat.
The Pause Heater was designed by Enzo Berti for the Italian company I-Radium. It's mostly made out of walnut wood and it's quite pleasing to look at. It's topped off with a leather seat so that it basically looks like a piece of furniture. Instead of just using basic heating technology, this heater uses infrared technology, directly heating your body. This is similar to the type of heating tech that's used in hospitals. This type of heating is highly energy efficient.
But that's not all it does. On top of looking extremely funky, it also comes ready to play your favorite MP3s, thanks to an included kinetic transducer. There is something very appealing about new technology disguised as furniture. You'd never guess that there was so much technology rammed into something that looks like an ottoman. Unfortunately, it won' be available for Christmas, but only next month.
